  • Wood Specification:
    • The timber used for woodwork shall be well seasoned, kiln dry containing not more than 8% to 12% moisture, so as to ensure minimum tendency towards warping, shrinking and swellings.
    • It shall be free from all defects such as large or loose knots, shakes, saps, upsets, wane edge, and twisted fiber.
    • It shall also be free from all diseases such as decay, wet rot, dry rot, and woodworms.
  • Wood Component:
    • The panel contains three horizontal studs minimum.
    • Two ply-woods are placed on the face and the back of the panel.
    • The frame of the door is made up usually of the jamb (4.5 to 5 cm thickness) and of sub-frame with (2 cm minimum thickness) and architrave all around the frame.
• Hinges
  • Hinges Specification: According to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Manufacturers shall indicate the Grade level of their hinges. Hinges shall meet all tests for their grade listing. A Grade 1 (Heavy Duty) hinge shall meet all Grade 1 criteria, a Grade 2 (Standard Weight) hinge shall meet all Grade 2 criteria, a Grade 3 (Standard Weight) hinge shall meet all Grade 3 criteria, and a Grade 4 (Light Weight) hinge shall meet all Grade 4 criteria.                                                                                                          For more information visit https://buildershardware.com
  • Hinges installation: Hinges are placed on the side of a door panel. The hinge consists of two leaves meeting at a center pivot point. One panel is installed to the frame of the door and the other is installed to the door. The number of Hinges for each door is as follow:
